2014 Lacrosse - battery/alternator problem???
Went to start it today, it had a little trouble turning over but started. It then told me "no remote detected" even though I had it in the car. Drove 5 miles, no issue. Restarted 5 minutes later, a message to open/close driver's window popped up, and after I did that it said open/close passenger window. I also noticed it was showing 15-16 volts for most of the trip but eventually reached back down to 14 as I got home.
Any thoughts? |

Re: 2014 Lacrosse - battery/alternator problem???
I'd check your battery connections. If they are corroded it could cause your alternator to overcharge and that can cause a whole host of issues. Overcharging can be worse than undercharging.

Don't trust the gauge. Without a voltmeter you're only guessing. They go for cheap$ now.

Thanks for the replies. I cleaned the corrosion off one post - it wasn’t too bad - but it didn’t help. Turns out it was the battery.
