2008 RAV4 - transmission issue?

Greetings,
I have a 2008 RAV4 Auto.
Had issue with transmission .. car in drive but felt like the drive gear not engaging (not moving). Had to pull over and start up again. It moved a few feet but then it is not going forward. repeat stop/start to get off the road. Thinking it is transmission but not sure. Thoughts?

Has the transmission been serviced over its life ?

What is the mileage ?

Never service before (except transmission oil change)
its about 118000 miles
