worth it?
Hey everyone,
My sister and her husband have a 94 SSEi with ~150k on it. They have been having issues with the check engine light always coming on and it stalling out for the last few months. They had a new CPU and 2 new ignition modules put in and the code still shows it is having an ignition module error. Just recently, the supercharger started having some clunking. My question is, is it worth it if I could pick this up for like $500 or less?? I'm good with cars and do most of my work myself, if possible. After reading some on this forum, I'm hoping maybe I could find a wire shorting out or replace the crank sensor for the stalling. Also, maybe the supercharger problem is the coupler, which is a $50 fix and some time. Any advice or input on the problems is appreciated. thanks! |

Re: worth it?
One more thing...if anyone knows where to get parts to rebuid the Eaton M62 supercharger used in the 94's, I'd be interested in that too.
Thanks again! |

Re: Re: worth it?
What code is it getting? It could possibly be the crankshaft sensor, cam shaft sensor, coil pack. There are several things that may cause this. Please post more information and I'm sure that myself or someone else will be able to help.
