Hey I currently run a 2000 dodge cummins, but am thinking about getting out of the cattle business and raising goats instead. That being said I will no longer be grossing 40k lbs when I take animals to sale. Im looking into trading my dodge for the years listed above in either chevy or gmc 3/4 ton with whatever the biggest gas motor is. Anyone on here tow with one? What kind of power does it have pulling lets say 10k lbs. Does it struggle on hills or pulling away from a stop. What kind of gas mileage and anything like that. Only have the dodge because I like cummins, but if im not running diesel I prefer gm so no sense in a brand war conversation. It will still be a hard working pickup just wouldn't need to tow oodles of weight without sweating. My newest gm I ever owned is a 96 and I still run that thing hard so I expect a newer one would do just fine.
