Bolt broken off on hub assembly..
Hey guys new here. My 04 LeSabre was sounding like it needed its rear wheel bearings replaced, did both at the same time. Right side done, no problems. While attaching the left side's assembly, the last bolt I put in sheared off before my torque wrench clicked at a measly 96 lb/ft. I don't have the proper tools to torch this out. A bolt extractor is out of the question as the bolt is broken off 1/2" inside the threads, but the axle/bearing has access holes some 3" away from the threads. The thread on the bolt that sheared has about 2" of thread inside. It sticks out through the back and I can get channel locks on it, but just spinning. My plan is to take it to a shop to have them take it out. How long can I drive on this if at all?? Thanks. Cheers. Bill.

Re: Bolt broken off on hub assembly..
If it were me I would take the other 3 bolts back out and remove the hub assembly. Then drill and try an easy out on the bolt.

Re: Bolt broken off on hub assembly..
You should be able to drive safely for maybe 25 miles at moderate speed. Just be careful!! Btw, welcome to AF.
