95 B1500 Altenator Question
Whenever I use my head lights and heater at the same time the belt starts to squeal. I have a feeling this means the altenator is on its way out.
When I looked it up on Rock Auto, I noticed that there are 2: 90A and 120A. I would love to order the 120A, but I need to know some things first. 1. Do they both have the same connectors? 2. Would I have to use a different belt? Also, my B1500 is a barebones model with a 3.9L V6. The reason I want the 120A is because I want to add a winch for lifting equipment into the cargo area and a power inverter for when I'm at a house without an outside power outlet. Any info is greatly appreciated. |

Re: 95 B1500 Altenator Question
If the belt is squealing it means the belt is worn or glazed, or the tensioner isn't working properly.
