BMW Art Cars 1:43

I've always loved BMW art cars. Since '70s BMW started a car collection together with important artists, asking them for a graphic interpretation of its sport cars.
Some of them took part of the famous LeMans 24h race.
So far I have collected kit and decals of this collection:
320 3.0 CSL Alexander Calder
320 3.0 Frank Stella
320 3.0i CSL Roy Lichtestein
M1 Andy Warhol
In recent times, I've bought a BMW 320i (Minichamps Cecotto version) with Sandro Chia decal. I'll start with this last one which is the fastest to do.

Re: BMW Art Cars 1:43

Now I'm working on BMW 3.0 CSL by Calder
I started improving the depth of opening parts
Then removing the "wire" all along the car perimeter (I'll substitute it with a chrome electric cable)
Eliminate the grid on the front by replacing it with a photoetched part

Re: BMW Art Cars 1:43

I started working on the wheels: I'll use material from the kit (which is OK)
Wheels proportions and position checked (OK)
