Cold weather interfering with reception

Hi all,
I have a 2012 Malibu and when it gets really cold out (today it is 22 or so) I lose radio reception till the car warms up enough, sometimes that is 20 plus miles of driving.

Is there any way to stop this from happening?

do you have a mast antenna or is it like part of the rear window defroster
