200 ford Taurus transaxle

I have 2001 ford Taurus se with 158000 but with rebuilt tranny. Transaxle light and engine light r both on. Engine light codes r for shift sensors didn't know u could get tranny codes as well. But anyway...my car slips between first and 2nd gear but more when I turn left or am going uphill from a stop. Handles hills and turns ok if I can keep it above 30 miles an hour and as long as u don't punch it from stop lights it shifts as it should goin straight and on right turns. Car just does not like left hand turns at all. Can anyone tell me what it may b?

I'm sorry to tell you that you have a car that is known for transmission problems. The Ford Taurus from that generation (excluding the SHO models) go through transmission failure quite often. The symptoms your describing are where it usually starts and it's just going to get worse. The best part of your car is the engine, the rest of it is either just mediocre or just plain crappy.
