Chevy Cavalier 2000 is Leaking Coolant -- Any Idea Why This is Happening?
Please share your observations concerning this problem of coolant leakage. I am sure there are many possible answers. This otherwise wonderful car has had a recent new water pump installed. But the leak is coming from the bottom... any thoughts? Many thanks!

Re: Chevy Cavalier 2000 is Leaking Coolant -- Any Idea Why This is Happening?
Welcome Aboard!
A little more information would be a great help. What engine and transmission are in the vehicle? There are several differences between the various 4-cylinder engines which might be installed. Can you provide better information about exactly where in relation to the engine that the leak is occurring? Is it under the radiator area? The engine area? Left or right side? Under the passenger compartment? Anything you can add will help.

If a shop replaced your water pump, take it back.

look under the engine. Round circular hole plugged in. If the car is old it could be a freeze plug leaking, or a lot of other things/
