Tightening or replacing belts?
yah, i got a 93 pathfinder, and the engine is squeaking me to the brink of insanity. Im sure its the belts on the engine. if there's a way....shoul d i tighten them, or just replace them all?

How many miles since they got changed?
If they are loose (push/tug on them.....if they move quite a bit they are too loose, they should be firm...but still move). If they look worn or cracked then you should go ahead and install new ones. Till then you can take a bar of soap to it and it should keep it at bay. Seabass

soap? like, rubbing soap all over the inside of the belts? hmm...if that kills the sqweaks

You'd be surprised what you can do with soap :-)
I haven't done that "trick" for a long time. Get them belts taken care of. Seabass
