Changed the Ignition switch
The car starts BUT the security light stays on. Do I need to go through and do the security learning process or is there another way to get the Security light to go off. Really don't want to take it to the stealer ship to have it done but don't want the car to die on the highway either. ANY ANSWERS would be greatly appreciated The ignition switch does start the car and it will run but the security light stays on. I've tried to do the 3 10 minute standing times but to no avail.

Re: Changed the Ignition switch
OK so I ended up switching out the key cylinder into the old Housing and eliminated the problem. No all I have to do is go back to the JY and get thr door locks and deck lid lock and glove box lock to have all the locks on the same key. So for $25 bucks I solved my asshole security light problem.

Re: Changed the Ignition switch
Why bother? Just keep two keys on your key ring, and make backups......I wouldn't change all the locks...not worth the hassle.....

Re: Changed the Ignition switch
No hassle at all ....I liked doing the glove box one. ...The door locks were easy too and got time to lube up the inner parts and tighten the bolts.
