Aoshima Lambo R-SV phantom Eneos livery.

As part of a group build I have finished the Aoshima R-SV with a phantom livery via Shunko decals. Some sponsor decals were sourced from various decal sheets. The base color is Zero Paints orange for the Arrows A23 F1 car. The orange was masked off in order to paint the silver area with Mr. Color silver, then a few small strips of Tamiya TS gold. After the decals were applied the body was coated the U-pol clear and polished.

The lower body parts, wing and anything that looks 'cf' was painted with Tamiya metallic black, the lazy mans 'cf'.

The doors were glued shut and had to be shimmed in order to get them flush with the body. Many parts had sink marks to sand out and the parts around the back of the car did not fit well. Aoshima is doing some good subjects but their kits need more perfecting, I give this one a 7 out of 10. In the end I think it turned out okay, I enjoy doing the creative liveries.

The inspiration:

Brilliant phantom racecar. It looks cohesive enough to a genuine livery.

Great work again and good vision on the paint scheme. That kit comes in one of the larger boxes I've seen for 1/24th scale.
