2010 Impala dual heat problems

My wifes impala has developed a problem. The passenger side is stuck on heat. The drivers side works fine. Any ideas on what is wrong?

Most likely the passenger side temp door actuator has failed and will need replaced. Not too tough a job. A scanner that can read "B" (body) codes would probably show a code.

Re: 2010 Impala dual heat problems

Thanks I got the heat fixed. It was the actuator. I have another problem now. I was driving to work yesterday and the horn started blowing. It was just like I was the holding the horn button down. I pulled off the road and turned the ignition off and it quit. I started it back up and drove to work fine. Later the office people came and got me and said my horn was blowing. It had quit by the time I got outside to check it out. Any ideas? This car is really getting on my nerves. Thanks

If the car were 20 years or so older I'd say there is a problem with the horn switch, but I don't see those very often anymore. I'd replaced the horn relay (underhood fuse box) and see if that takes care of it.

Horn shut down when the key was turned to off? That kind of eliminates the relay, but would also be the first thing to try....otherwise the control circiut to the relay has to be checked out....could be a shorted line, bad switch in steering wheel, or problem with the theft deterrent circuit...
