Material used on crankshaft pins and main engine bearings
Does anyone know what materials are generally used on crankshift pins that rotate inside main engine bearings and what materials the bearings are made out of in Formula 1, normal everyday road cars, sports cars etc. Thank you.

Re: Material used on crankshaft pins and main engine bearings
I found one material for the crankshaft which is cast using steel alloy or forged using heat treated steel alloy. Is this generally the same for formula 1 too?

Re: Material used on crankshaft pins and main engine bearings
most performance cars used forged steel internals including crank and wrist pins
