1971 Mustang - new headers?
Hi
I am new to this forum and recently purchased a 1971 Mustang convertible with "M 351C-4V" which I found online has: "The 1970-1971 M-code version (300 HP/1970, 285 HP/1971) was a high compression 4V configuration employing closed-chamber head design and hydraulic lifters." The car is great and runs well, but has its original manifold. I am thinking about putting long tube ceramic headers on to increase horsepower and improve the exhaust sound. Do you recommend it? Is it worth the money? Thanks Oli New Zealand

Welcome! To increase horsepower and improve the exhaust sound, I recommend you to do that.
Good luck.

Re: 1971 Mustang - new headers?
The Cleveland original exhaust headers were very heavy and not the best flow. I had a '70 and switched to an aftermarket set of tube headers. It also got a full freely flowing new exhaust out the back. It had a very noticeable horsepower increase and the sound sent shivers up my spine whenever I floored it.
