Porsche 928 S4

I just got bored one day and picked up this kit from the pile. It's a simple Fujimi Porsche 928 S4. I liked this car from the beginning but the fittment of the bumpers is very poor. I didn't know if I should sell the kit or give it a try. I decided the last option of course.

I already glued the bumpers to the body and did a lot of sanding en puttywork.

The wheels are from a Tamiya Porsche 911.

Jerez Black from BMW is the color I have in mind.

Kris.

Re: Porsche 928 S4

It's not the most exciting Porsche but it's always nice to see more original models being built.
I'm curious to see how it goes with yours.

Re: Porsche 928 S4

I recently scribed out the panellines and sanded the body. Today I primered the body and added the Jerez Black!

Later I'll add the logos on the body.

Re: Porsche 928 S4

iceracer1: You have glued the rear bumper in wrong position. It should be fitted flush with the body.

I know. But that wasn't possible due the very bad fittment.

Re: Porsche 928 S4

Yes, I have spent much time to fit the rear bumper in a right position. Also I have done many corrections on the body, e.g. widened the rear end, increased the hight of rockers, etc. The Italery's Porsche 928 looks much better.

Re: Porsche 928 S4

After trying to sell my house, vacation, and fishing it was time to get back on the Porsche.

First thing I did was finishing the body. First I polished the paint, added the clearparts and added the big spoiler on the thrunk.

I also did the interior. I filled the back of the seats with milliput and painted the interior with Violet Grey from Zero Paints interiorrange. I added interiorflocking on the floor and rear. Nothing more.

I also removed the chrome from the wheels and repainted them with normal Silver. I added 3D logos from Hobby Design on the centers and clearcoated the wheels. The chassis is very simple. Just two rods to add the wheels, but no suspension or something. I removed the wheelarches and drilled new holes for the rods. This is the easiest kit to lower I think

Meanwhile it's finished so I'll upload the pics of the completed model soon.

Kris.
