Ground clearance G vs legacy

Hello all,

Found this forum today. Glad to be in this forum.

I am researching new and not too old cars, mostly sedans. I live in Chicago area. I want my drive to be easier in snow/rain/ice; currently drive a 16yo Toyota fwd. I am considering Subaru legacy and used Infiniti G37x (25x if I can find a decent one).

2011 G37x/25x has 4.9" ground clearance (2010 is 4.1"!), whereas 2012/13/14 legacy has 5.9" clearance. While clearance seems to be a factor driving in snow, 1" difference does not seem much. Any comments?

Thanks
Ram

Re: Ground clearance G vs legacy

ground clearance is not an issue in the snow if you stay on the road.
