Re: fuel pump

So, when power and ground hooked to battery, the pump runs? You have power to the pump at the new plug, but is there a good ground?

The pump has a ground wire to.
Usually grounded to frame someplace,

Re: fuel pump

Should attach a test light to the f/p circuit of the harness side, not the tank side.....key on lights for two seconds....crank vehicle, it lights as long as you crank.....

If it doesn't light at all....attach one leg of test light to the bat ckt of harness and ground the other end of light to a known good ground....retest....if ok, you have a bad ground circuit....can run a redundant ground, or find the ground(as mentioned, on the chassis somewhere), and clean/repair it....

Re: fuel pump

Are you sure that you spliced in the new connector correctly? If I remember correctly, the directions come with several different options depending on how your truck was originally wired.

Re: fuel pump

Terminal B, grey wire, is power. Terminal C black wire, is ground. Check terminal C with a meter and see if it's grounded. The ground wire is connected to the frame, under the drivers door, next to the body mount. There are two grounds next to each other, the fuel pump ground is the one closest to the main body of the frame. Need to check it at the connector and see if its grounded with a meter.
