AC Delco Oil Filters

I have another question on my 2013 LaCrosse. Yesterday I took it in to the dealership where I bought it for my free oil change. Normally I do this task myself. When I got home I noticed that they put in a AC PF48E. The owner's manual calls for a AC PF63. I did some research on the computer and found that the AC PF48E is used on several cars including the LaCrosse 2007 to 2010 models. Is there a significant difference in the two filters? My guess is that the dealership had a lot of the earlier filters and used them rather than the newer PF 63.

Re: AC Delco Oil Filters

I found the answer. The PF48E is 3 inches long while the PF63 is 4.5 inches long. Otherwise there is no difference.
