And Revell has some DTM's. Merc, Audi and Opel. But they are in 1/32 scale and snap-fit. Meaning, no painting required, no decals but stickers, not significant detail whatsoever.

I haven't seen them in the shops though...

hehe, Revell does make some 1/24 DTM cars. They are the MB CLK GTR Privat livery and Sportswear livery.

Don't stress. You might as well stick with Tamiya! These two versions were made by Tamiya and are way better. The only one still available is the D2 liveried Merc, however, you could probably be able to find the CLK Sportswear/Original Teile versions on Ebay or something, that's where I got mine from.

Beat me by an inch there... I was going to say that !

And no in the 1/24 scale, I realy think that Tamiya is the only one in that race. But all DTM Tamiyas are a delicatie. They're so cool and so well done, the only drawback... the lack of one model, Opel and Mercedes are the one they offer but where's the Audi??? To have a complete racing diorama, it should have a TT somewhere.

Believe me, you'll be happy with the Tamiya current model, all the photos posted above are from Mercedes are the 1/24 Tamiya of this model is simply brilliant... beside, it's not a curbside, the motor is there so don't be worry and as a bonus, you don't have to redo the suspension, the model stand the way it should be!

And a word to Tamiya company... "Where's my TT ?"

I agree, but I think the main problem is that Audi probably wants a lot of money for the rights to produce models of their cars. I mean they've had victories at Le Mans 3 years in a row. If it wasn't for licensing issues, Tamiya would've produced a Le Mans kit ages ago. Can you imagine how much a kit would cost if they did decide to produce one? I'm sure it is not financially viable for Tamiya. However, I would personally buy one regardless of the cost...then feel guilty later!!

Let me go into a bit more detail. What era of DTM are you thinking of.

After 2000 or before 1996?

After the year 2000, you'll only find Tamiya, the 1/32 scale Revells and the UT models Warren mentioned.

Before 1996, there's Tamiya (Mercedes C-Class, Alfa 155, Opel Calibra, Ford Sierra), Fujimi (Mercedes 190E 2.5 EVO II), Hasegawa (Mercedes C-Class). From those only the Tamiya's are really good. The Hasegawa's are OK, but the Fujimi's are crap -> But if you like to get let's say a Merc collection together, that's not an issue

Well I was thinking of a cool diorama of two DTM cars almost touching, along a straight, the back one drafting the front one!!! I love the way the drive so close to each other! Much more exciting than F1. As for the year 2000 is OK Preferably 2 different models. I like the 2002 DTM CLK model posted above. Driving figures I can source or make later source later, as well as sparks as they touch the barriers or some exhaust flames?!??!?!?
You can check what I have done before (amatuerish)
