TE27 corolla

while working on my rx-3 project, i realized i have had a te27 sitting around.
so with all the stuff ive done with the rx3 fresh in my mind i decided to do the similar mods to the corolla.
it's after all going to be the same kind of build.....

the mods are mainly the removal of the rear seat, which i found the dremel does a great job!

i also found a donor front lip spoiler and a rear wing to fit quite well

interior mods 90% done
i had no front seat replacements so the originals are staying. (which are molded into the floor)

the front lip is from a fujimi KPGC10 skyline race car, will need to be narrowed by about 1 or 2mm

the rear wing from a fujimi 240z and fit perfect really....
(the gap you can see is very minimal when the wing is held down properly.)

im quite happy with how this has come together for a mix and match from parts lying around....

Re: TE27 corolla

ive clear coated this one now....did that make a difference! this paint looks so dull without clear, but once thats done, it looks great. pictures to come

the flared wheel arches will stay red, so does anyone have any good ideas for getting them to look better, i was thinking of using a wash to get the edge of the flare to pop from the actual body panels, as well as the screws that hold the flare on need detailing/wash applies.

what should i do?

thanks

Re: TE27 corolla

few updates..
some other simple but effective detailing, added radiator and oil cooler.
radiator is just PE radiator mesh and oil cooler is scratch built.

its almost done now, just final little tweeks and stickers to go.
