03 Air vent door shaft repair

Has anyone had a air vent door shaft break ? Any ideas on how to repair without removing all the duct work? The door # is 18A559, (center left side of pic.

Update:

Today I removed the air vent vacuum motor to inspect the piece from the diverter door and found it to be fine. Looking at the piece I noticed that it had a slot on the end, made sure the door moved freely and reinstalled the piece into diverter door, reinstalled motor and all work s fine.

I do not know why the pic has disappeared in the first post.
