My 911 RWB

Hello AF! Well the machine has spit out another one. This time its a Taisan 911 from tamiya turned RWB-ish. Now I love the whole RWB look, though I know some cringe when they see one. To each his own I guess. Anyway, I decided to try and make my own since I don't have a Porsche in my collection , and someone I know told me I was not allowed to have one until he built his from C1 Models. Well to quote Barney Stintson: "Challange accepted!"

So I hunted down a tamiya kit for my effort. Now I know its not perfect or exact, but most people won't know the difference haha. I also did not want to spend well over $100 just for the kit. So I figured I would make my own. I didn't do a whole lot since this kit was meant as a quick build before my Murcielago SV arrived. And it just so happened I finished just as my SV arrived! So I basically flared the fenders some more, formed the bumper, slipped some nismo wheels into T2Modeler sleeves, added PE brakes, hood pins and harness from Hobby Design among other things. The kit is painted with acrylic paint and 2k clear. Hope you like it. Comments are welcomed of course.

DEEEP DISH!

Inside pic. I'm working on manual focus

Thanks for looking!!!

Re: My 911 RWB

Great Job. Looks very RWBish!
I've thought of doing the same to the taisan 911 kit.

Re: My 911 RWB

Man, that is an awesome model ! Best RWB model I have seen. Some pictures are stunning !

As this is the first RWB model that evoques the real life RWB to me, "Challenge Accepted" !

ps: I would just like to know how you flared the fenders

Incredible build!! The little photo etched pieces really bring out the small details. Love the contrast of the calipers and roll cage!! Great job!!
