tired of losing....

ok i have a base 2002 rsx but i think im going to trade up and get a 94-95 civic w an engine swap i know this has probably been done to death, but here are a few question i have...

1) what engine would you do? im hopefully looking for high 13 second to low 14 second time slips

2) its going to be a daily driver so reliability is an issue, can i still consider a turbo?

3)i live in the van wa. port or. area how much should just the labor on the swap run me (quoted anywhere from $700.00 to $1300.00)

thanks for all the help

You can easily pull low 14's w/out a turbo... so that shouldn't be a priority.

Take a an Integra GS-R motor and replace a few parts to raise the compression... free up the airways w/ an intake, headers, and exhaust system... throttle body and intake manifold if you want and you are damn near at your goal.

Same goes for many b and h series motors.

It's not that hard to do anymore.

well, if ur tight on cash, here's my OVER used idea (i always say this one)

buy a b18b for around $700, turbo it for $1500-2000, run 10-12 psi, ur looking at 13 second passes w/ a reliable daily driven car (if u feel unsafe w/ the boost there, u can turn it down, even tho stock, it can handle it)

dang where do i get a b18b for 700.00??!!! and a turbo for 2000.00 that would be a good deal...

as far as getting a turbo should i upgrade the radiator and head gasket? (in addition to fuel injectors and fuel pump) also should i get a oil cooler as well....

also by daily driver do you mean like driving 18000 to 22000 a year cause thats what i drive i like to drive a lot so i dont want the car to be in the shop to much..
