95 Jimmy no reverse

I've read elsewhere that if reverse does not work neither will 2nd when the sunshield breaks or fails.

My question is if you still have 2nd gear, as well as all 4 gears, what does that mean?

My Jimmy still shifts in all forward gears but is a little slow going into Drive. Just no longer have Reverse.

Fluid level is ok.

Time for a rebuild or another transmission.
