NSX Castrol Honda
Just another one to view for those who asked for this one here.
This kit was built awhile back and wasnt one of the best i've done as the painting of it was a real bastard to get right and i started to loose the plot with it after having about 10 goes at getting the front painted....so it was rushed abit to get finished.

Yes, the bumper is going to be quite a pain to build. Four different colors, yikes! You did an excellent job, though!

I'm working on that one now. Just waiting on the paint and shuddering at the daunting work ahead...i.e. the front bumper.

A beautiful car. Now I really want to finish mine, been on the back burner because I screwed up some of the decals on the bonet/hood. Since I can't find any replacements guess I'll just have to buy another kit. In my eyes the most striking and beautiful of the NSX's, yes including the Raybrig.

Looks good, I almost forgot what this kit looks like when it is not stuffed under the body of a Del Sol, haha

This one was in my waiting list for quite some time.
But the complexity of the colour scheme changed my mind and I went to the Avex Dome version. Anyway this model is absolutely gorgeous. To bad I have to chose my models according to my capacities.

Pman,
I have this kit and it is my ultimate NEMESIS!! I've been working on it off and on for several years (obviously more off than on) and am really struggling. Most of my problems are with 'me', not the kit: - I used a bunch of differnet crappy spray-can paints on the body and they didn't turn out very good. Trying to make something bad into good, I sprayed clear overtop hoping that would help. It didn't. In the end, I tried to polish the whole thing and ended up breaking the two windshield pillars, cracking the front fenders (very delicate area of the car), and cracking/breaking several other areas of the body). - I tried to 'strip' the paint with just about every substance known to man and so far about 80% of the paint has come off. I've had this thing sitting in stripper for weeks at a time and it still has some stubborn parts that will NOT come off. It looks all 'patchy' now and obviously is not a very smooth surface to put another coat on. I've accepted that I'll have to 'sand' out all of the unwanted paint, but the body has so many fins and edges that this will NOT be a fun/easy job at all. I don't know what to do. Either I push through and finish it the way you've finished yours, or I salvage the other kit parts and use them on other projects. Murray |
