Few questions about history of 03R chassis

I'm hoping someone can help me in answering few questions regarding history of F1-GTR 03R car. I'm a static model builder,
mostly building 1/20 models of Formula1 cars, but I have a weak spot for McLaren F1 and especially F1-GTR racing
versions of it. I have very detailed kit from Model Factory Hiro, which I'd like to build as 03R car from 1996 with "West"
livery. Kit I have only allows me to build the car in 1996 specs. However with limited photo references I cannot yet figure out
when that chassis was actually converted into 1996 specs, if ever. It seems that it was raced in 1995 specs up until Le Mans race.
But I'm not sure.

Now here are actual questions:
- when was chassis 03R converted into 1996 specs ?
- was it raced in 1996 specs in BPR championship at all and if yes, which events ?
- was 03R still in 1995 specs at Monza BPR race in 1996 ?
- does anyone have good references for Monza BPR and Le Mans races from 1996 for 03R car and would be willing to share ?

I'm also considering the alternative of making a model of a 03R car as it raced at Le Mans 1996 race. Is seems to have been
already converted into 1996 specs by then.
