McLaren MP4/27
Hi guys,
I've completed the kit after making it for a week. Here are the photos of the completed kit in various angles. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The paint I used is TS-83 (Metallic silver) for the body part which I couldn't believe that was the first time I used up the whole volume of TS-83 to make this kit & I used TS-29 to paint the under tray. For my WIP, here is the link : http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...86#post7057786 Unfortunately, somehow the markings on the tyres are a little off after making a slight mess on the tyres markings. ![]() I'm thinking of making either Williams FW16 or McLaren MP 4/6. I'll decide later when the time comes. Comments & advice are most welcomed. Thanks for viewing. Adrian |

Re: McLaren MP4/27
Model looks pretty cool. My suggestion for the next one is to pay more attention to alignment of parts.
Especially wing elements. Use flat surface of you work table to align elements. Also LEGO blocks can be used to make jigs as they have pretty precise square angles. I'm building same kit and documenting my build in WIP thread. I've almost reached the point when parts are ready for assembly. But my progress is slow. Re: McLaren MP4/27
Sergey : I'm still learning on making F1 kits especially Fujimi kits whereby I'm not sure if fitting was the issue or not. That part really tested my patience on it, but I will try to improve the work on the front wing. The rear wing was kind of not easy to build as they always come off easily. I'm currently making McLaren MP 4/6 & I just completed my engine.
The link to my WIP on the said project is here : http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul....php?t=1092208 Adrian |
