Re: sensors?
sounds like a brake related sensor, that senses if the brakes are being pressed by the driver or not/ which will cause the brake lights to come on in the back when the peddle is pressed.

Re: sensors?
How about what year this is, there is no pedal position sensor other than the throttle position sensor , post back when you have the proper terminology of what you are looking for.

Re: sensors?
APS, or accelerator pedal sensor, is used in electronic throttle systems(also known as drive by wire throttle systems), in other words, systems that don't use a cable between the pedal and the throttle body....in GM cars, this is known as TAC, or throttle actuator control....the APS sends a signal to the PCM and the TAC module, which electrically controls a motor on the throttle plate......so the throttle plate is electrically moved, rather than by a cable from the accelerator pedal....
I'm sure everyone remembers the massive recall that Toyota had on their gas pedals, which included GM's Pontiac Vibe, a joint venture with Toyota.... |

Re: sensors?
Correct on the pedal sensor /drive by wire, correct me if I am wrong here but I do not believe at the end of the Park Ave run these were implemented and it was still a cable connection throttle.

Re: sensors?
I was only answering his question, Max....
As for whether this system was used on the last PA's, I'm not sure.... |

Re: sensors?
Yeh, lots of guesswork as usual on our part with insufficient info from the OP's.
