Odometer
I have a 2002 Suburban, no troubles until last week when the battery got drained because some bonehead
left the rear hatch open all night. Now, every time I shut the truck off the trip odometer resets to 0, and the actual vehicle odometer reads ERROR. Is this a normal problem with these vehicles? Do I need a new instrument cluster?

? JK, in all seriousness completely unhook the battery for atleast a few minutes for a complete drain out and restart. Not aware of any issues, but doesn't mean there aren't any.

the dash cluster could also be damaged both do store mileage. when the battery is dead best make sure no key in ignition , disconnect the ground at the battery and then charge the dead battery up for an hour or so. with some power in the battery less chances of damage. |
