need help with a drawing of old f1 car

hi

iam working on a drawing of mclaren f1 car from the 80's , now i think the model is the mp4/3 , but i stoped the drawing because the wing looks funny to me , there is alittle part that i circled in green that i cant find in any other mclaren f1 cars from that time . is that a special wing they did for the race or is the camera was drunk ?

It looks like a double spoiler.. I am not sure though... It is not in line with the safety barriers on the background, so I don't think it is part of that. Besides, it appears to be attached to the dark grey left-lower side of the spoiler, just at the place where you outlined it with green.

..but.. on other images (search for "old honda f1 car"), this car does not appear to have any double spoiler, so that is why I am doubting.. :O

yap . i know now that this is 88 mp4/4 but cant find any pictures with this spoiler , also i watched 88 monaco and detroit and there was no spoiler like this in senna's car , could this be a diffrent track ? and could this be a special setup ?

I am not really an expert on old race cars, but judging from the pics I saw on the internet, I think this could be a special setup. Where the safety barrier shifts color (black->grey), the "second spoiler" does not. That's, for me, even more evidence that this part belongs to the race car. Taking a second look, this could well be a special spoiler indeed.
