Help...Inner CVAxle stuck
I have a 93 Mazda MX6 LS V6 - Driverside inner cvaxle is stuck in the transaxle. I have bent two 24" prybars...beat the you know what out of it. With no luck. There is very litle room, only one place I can even get a prybar in. One mechanic friend told me I may have to pull the other side and use a punch from the opposite side. I am not sure it will even be open to do that. I would appreciate any help. Seriously frustrated at this point.

Re: Help...Inner CVAxle stuck
I don't think there is any pin...at least anything visible. I have already bought a new axle shaft and it looks like all it has is a little spring clip holding on the splines in the transaxle. But I can't seem to bust it loose regardless of how much pressure I put on it.

Re: Help...Inner CVAxle stuck
I sent you two links the top one threads into the slide hammer.
I looked at two pictures and they are different. If buying used go to a scrap yard and go with the parts puller. Watch him remove the part first. Then remove yours if purchasing rebuilt look at the rebuilt and observe how it is attached. This will tell you how to remove yours. |

Re: Help...Inner CVAxle stuck
Every once and a while I run into one 'o' these sombitches. Like your mechanic friend told ya... Pull the other axle and punch it out with a long drift. Just be careful not to bang up the seals.
