Unhappy Misfire after driving through a puddle.

Hey guys I hope somebody can help me.
I drove through a large puddle a bit to fast the other day, and now I'm paying the price.
I immediately started getting a misfire. This was confirmed with code p0301 in cylinder 1.
I was long overdo for a tune up so I changed plugs, wires and coil pack. Misfire continued.
So I put a timing light on cylinder 1 and sparking shows inconsistent / intermittent .
Did I kill my ECM.?
Thanks for any ideas that you can give.
