ABS codes

1999 Silverado-2wd-5.3-100,000 miles. While driving to work this morning abs and parking light came on--codes C0222-R/F wheel signal missing,C0226-L/F wheel signal missing and C0265-EBCM. Am I facing multiple problems or just one. don't have all my Bosch information uploaded for Mastertech VCI yet. Seems to be an intermittient proble. Comes on after a couple of days---turn ignition off restart and is good for a couple of more days. Cleaned terminals at EBCM and redid ground. Still happens
Thanks

since you have ABS/brake light on and no braking issues this is a problem I have not seen before. with no sensor output the ABS shutdown , there fore no ABS will activate. intermittent left and right sensor signal lost at the same time my guess is the ebcm is no good. if you have the ability to monitor sensor output [s] when operating the vehicle this would be a good test . or you can do this manually at the wheel sensor output hub connectors. you must have over 300 MV AC. normal would be 500MV/.5V AC. this is with the hub being rotated by hand at a good rate of speed.

the ground under the driver side frame rail being cleaned is a good start . make sure the ABS fuse sets in the holder securely.

Re: ABS codes

Am leaning toward getting EBCM rebuilt---Cleaned all the connections, checked fuses, and cleaned and redid the grounds. Have had truck about 5 years and every so often brake pedal would pulsate under normal braking, but has not happened in the last 8 months or so.

The C0265 is the kicker here, its for the EBCM realy which is internal to the EBCM. You are on the right track to have the EBCM repaired/replaced since that is the only way to correct that code, other than cleaning the ground, but you already did that. There is a good chance the EBCM is causing all your problems, except maybe for the intermittent low speed ABS activation which is usually cause by a front speed sensor. Start with the EBCM, it is for sure causing a problem.
