Unhappy Car Registration and Taxes

This is my first post . I'm Dan . Trading is a hobby of mine . Last year I had 8 cars . I recently got a letter in the mail titled " Notice of Assessment Use Tax" . Ohio is making me pay sales tax on a Scion TC I had around October of last year based on its fair market value . The amount is $572.50 . At first I thought it was because I registered too many cars in 1 year . Though , I contacted OHIO BMV and they told me as long as I tagged the cars , I could trade as many as I want . Dealers are a different story . After further research , It seems when you register so many vehicles , boats ,houses , etc in a year , it throws up a redflag and you get audited . I've also heard they just do it on newer vehicles up to 10 years old . I have to pay it in 60 days . I tried to register for a vendor license and pay online like they said , but all options I get keep asking me about my business . I do not have a business . Anyone have any insight on this how to get past it or just some advice? Thanks
