19 year old Mazda 787b finally finished...Kind of

Well after buying the kit almost 20 years ago, starting the build in 2005, moving to another country, sit in storage until 2009, start work on it 2010, move again in 2011, and get around to finishing off the horrible dash decals, it's done...Although it's missing the charge decals above the headlights, and the mazdaspeed logo above the radiator (I have no idea at what stage they went missing).

So I have learned from this kit, don't use the green body decals, they are horrible...in fact don't use any of the body colour decals, because they are either horrible to apply and fit in position, or they throw off everything else that goes onto them. Don't start a build before moving, and don't waste five years getting around to finishing the model.

I have another #55 in the cupboard to build, this one was a learning experience, I now have an airbrush, so all the section of the car will be painted that way (including the green and silver), and I will by some Mr Softener for the decals.

This kit also got dropped twice, so it needed some repairs, surprised it wasn't worse.

Looks good, I just brought the newly released kit. I'm now on the search for the #55 decal kit.

Great build, that's long term dedication right there!
