Hi guys and gals,
I am looking to buy a used car for around $10,000 preferably less if i can. I am looking for the usual, good mileage, reliable and if something does mess up not too expensive to get sorted in the shop. Im thinking possibly a Corolla and i saw one tonight for roughly $9,500, it is a 2010 XLE, which seems alright but it has done 100,000 miles. The dealer told us these were generally highway miles which i am inclined to believe as looking around the car it looks pretty good, not really any dinks or anything. It basically looks new apart from the previous owner was a smoker and there are a couple of burns in the driver seat, and of course the 100,000 miles sitting on it so the wear under the hood which isn't visible to the eye when just staring at it. I gave it a test drive and it runs soundly, nothing seemed off... but again im just looking at that 100,000 miles. Any suggestions as to whether i should go for it or not? and if so, what sort of price should i pay if you dont think $9,500 is reasonable? Thanks everyone!!! |

Re: Buying a used car under $10,000
I will be happy to help you along if you provide a link where this car can be seen, or the name of dealer. I hope it's not Fusion auto Plex.

Re: Buying a used car under $10,000
I second ^^^
It seems that the 9 grand is too much for a Corolla and with that kind of mileage. I suggest you give some time and have patience so you could have the best car within that price range that has a moderate mileage and one you're satisfied with, looks wise. Try to explore and research. These do help. Good luck. |
