Well.. I don't know what much to say about this one.
Wasn't gonna upload it till it's finished, but I've never done anything that wasn't out-of-box in my life, so I thought you guys could help me out along the way.
I'm shoving a Shelby GT350R V8 into a London Taxi. Yup.
Dunno if it's been done before.
As I said, I've never scratchbuilt or tried anything like this before so I have absolutely NO idea what I'm doing, heh.
This will be a side project, a go-to when I lose my patience with any main projects. For example, I'm working on a Sauber C9, and when I get tired of it, I work on the Taxi as I'm free to do whatever I want with it, which relieves stress kinda and makes me go back to the Sauber with a fresh mind. Here's a lil' sneak peek of the Sauber, since I won't be uploading a WIP of it.
I've finished the base of the interior, meaning the main parts are done so anything else I do to it will just be small extras. First time using BMF too, so this whole model is one big experiment. Used it on the mirror to make it different from the plated chrome. The interior is basically the standard Taxi with the Shelby wheel and G.T.350 logo. I kinda want this thing to be a sleeper. I attempted to weather the floor, I want this to be a workhorse too. Attempted to make one of those 8-ball shifter knobs that hot rodders have and failed completely, haha. It's meant to be sorta scruffy. Any help on how I can achieve this look more realistically would be much appreciated.
For wheels, I think I'm gonna use these Revell GT350R wheels. But the Taxi uses standard poly cap system, whereas these don't.. Any help on how to get these on?
And now the party piece. I have no idea how to mount this. The Taxi had a crappy molded in engine, I cut the whole front section up using a dremel to leave just the firewall and the chassis. What's the best way to go about doing this, guys? I'm at a loss from this point. Any and all help is much appreciated.
Anyways, thanks for looking at my mad project.. And first real forray into modelling. Help me out here guys, I know you're way more talented than I am!
