AC Compressor Clutch replacement

GOOD LORD!!!!! What a pain in the a**. My clutch on my 98 cv, non-pi, locked up and it did it so well my car wouldn't start. My clutch is a nippon type. Everything except the front plate is pressed on and a pita to put on. The plate came off easily enough, and used a gear puller to get the pulley off and it came off along with the electric actuator and all the bearing falling on the ground. Unfortunately it broke down in a public parking lot - of course. After no success putting on the new pulley I broke down and bought a 56 inch serpentine belt. I had to take off the alternator pulley to slip on the 56 inch belt. 56.5 or 57 would've been a better choice but they didn't have one at the store. It got me home though. There I was able to pound on the new electric actuator with a 3lb sledge(small) and a block of wood. Eventually I tapped along the inside edge to seat the part. then I pushed on the pulley as far as i could by hand and used the 3lb sledge and wood again. There a video on youtube for a marquis where a guy uses a 1 1/8 socket to pound in the pulley. I eventually just pounded on the inside surface with my sledge, the damn thing is outside near the road, i'm sure it'll survive. I tried the install kit and it doesn't work for this type of clutch - another aggravation. Anyways, its done and hopefully this will help someone else.
