I just figured out all the Canadian wiring for my 1992 grand marquis, hooked it all up works great. I bought a dash kit, which apparently the car doesn't really need because radios just slide in. But i got a XML8150 second hand off a buddy who needed some money. So it doesn't have a radio mounting cage and I trashed the one I had with the radio stock because at the time I knew nothing about radio's. Basically what i need is a link to exactly the cage i need to my radio and car specs. I found a lot of cages online but I really don't know which one i need.

Re: Installing a Radio (not wiring)
You're probably going from a double stack radio to a single DIN mount. So you're gonna need something to fill in the void left by the original radio. I think aleekat has the best advice for you, Crutchfield. They're the standard of the industry that everyone seems to use as a reference.

Re: Installing a Radio (not wiring)
No, I am going from single Din to Single Din. They are the same exact size. I just don't know what cage I need to make it fit is all. Normally on the 1992 Grand Marquis they just slide in. But there are so many different cages with different technical names that I just don't know the one for my car. I basically need the one that came stock with my car but I don't know what its called or where to get it. That's my problem.

Re: Installing a Radio (not wiring)
Did you try going to a junk yard or looking on ebay?
