Re: Aoshima Skyline!!

Congratulations model nicely captured. I like the body color.
Take pictures at a different darker background is the color of the body will be more visible.

Regards Peter.

Re: Aoshima Skyline!!

Looks awesome! That 4th pix really shows off the shine! May I ask how you tinted the windows?

Re: Aoshima Skyline!!

Never seen a Skyline in this color, but it fits perfectly! Great color choice for the wheels, too.

Re: Aoshima Skyline!!

Thanks guys. I used Tamiya smoke in the spray can for the windows. It must be misted until you get complete coverage because it runs easily. The paint color is identical to the color of the plastic in the kit and the rims come just as you see them right out of the box...

Excerpt from an issue http://www.swannysmodels.com/TheCompleteFuture.html :
"If you want to create your own shades of transparent colors, food coloring can be mixed with Future for the desired effect. Tamiya clear colors work well as toners also."

Hope that helps !
Addition: In case of an absence of the "Future" product, the diluted water based hobby acrylic lacquer could be used as well.

Re: Aoshima Skyline!!

This color is not common for cars and still it is looking very good. Mostly, I have seen black color on cars.
