Re: 2000 grand am instument cluster

On the 2002, it was easy.
Remove the steering cover (I am unsure if it was just snapped in place or if you had to remove the 2 screws under it, I did removed them, but I think it wasn't needed), remove the 2 screws on the top of the ICP bezel, then the 2 that you unhiden at the bottom of it.
Remove bezel.
Remove the I think 4 screws.

Have fun figuring out how to take it out of the hole. Not hard at all, just need to play a bit with it. It go in/out only one way. Take note of how you removed it... I actually removed it without issue, but had trouble to put it back in.

I think the engineer was a tetris player

If you remove the wiring harness, don't forget to cut the power at the battery to be sure that you won't kill the electronics.

Thanks.I it does not sound to bad,i guess I should expect a little tetris with some thing like this anyway lol.The fuel gauge is stuck in the middle and does not even jump when the key is turned on and off, allso the light in the rpm part of the cluster goes in and out.So I was thinking about getting a a instrument cluster from the junk yard? I am not sure what to do,I ddo not want to wast my money on more prob. ya know.??
