Re: 2000 impala unplugged wire
The labeling just describes the manufacturer/type of the harness.......there are a lot of unconnected harnesses in GM cars, because they use the same harness in different models, that may not use a certain circuit....
I doubt that is your problem..... You will need to check for ABS, PCM, and Body codes to start the diagnosis.... ABS and TRAC off lights are probably set due to a wheel speed sensor/harness problem......auto lights not coming on could be due to a light sensor/headlight switch problem.....I seriously doubt they have anything to do with the disconnected harness.... |

Re: 2000 impala unplugged wire
The most probable cause is the front Wheel Speed Sensor, because 80% of breaking + heat.
Check the owners manual for Automatic light control. |

Re: 2000 impala unplugged wire
my trac and abs lights (04 impala)come on when i need new brake pads because the fluid "appears" low to the sensor. these cars don't seem to have a chirper like most brakes when the pad is worn.
that would not explain the headlights, so they may be separate issues, or you have a deeper mechanical problem. |
