i have a 03 grand am gt with the 3.4, this morning i needed my heat to get the due off of the window and there was no heat! all the way down the highway this morning i was thinking on what it could possibly be, i switch the dial from hot to cold and there is no difference at all, so first thing i thought of is there is a vacuum problem, so when i got to work i checked the hoses going into and out of the heater core and they are super hot, so i know the heater core is not plugged. I am stumped on this and any help will be greatly appreciated!
Also the heat worked fine roughly 3 weeks ago. Thank you guys in advance for the help

Re: No heat in my 03 Grand am GT, advise please!
hmmm, sorry all, i did a search before posting and must have over looked a post already here! just searched again and found what i am looking for i think.
could it be the actuator like stated in this post? it changes from defrost to floor or vent so would not be a vacuum correct? http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...hlight=no+heat

Re: No heat in my 03 Grand am GT, advise please!
I believe the actuator for temp is electrical, not vacuum.....
So you either have an actuator, control head, or wiring problem, since both heater hoses are hot.... |

Re: No heat in my 03 Grand am GT, advise please!
ok got home and removed glove box and i could already smell something burned up, removed the A/C Heater Blend Door Actuator and sure enough, it is burned up, i will be getting a new one tomorrow and be all fixed.
By the way, this is the easiest thing in the world to remove took me longer to remove the screws from the glove box lolThanx for the help guys
