SR and KA changability

Hey dudes, quick question...
I'm still on my path of enlightement for a ka-t and i was just wondering... since injectors can be shared between the sr and the ka, could the intercooler piping also be shared? i really have no clue, also, do manifolds from the sr fit on the ka? thanks for any help you can give me

intercooler piping? no. sr20 is side mount intercooled, so to make it fmic, youd need to punch some holes. ka isnt intercooled at all ((guess why). as for the turbo manifolds, the answer again is no.

btw, are you planning to drop a ka24/sr20/det into a "woody" pt cruiser? for that youd hafta convert it into rwd.

Idiots.
Sorry I wasn't clear when i first wrote it, i was really tired... finals!

anyway... I meant, with the FMIC set up on the sr, would that same setup with the FMIC work on the KA TURBO setup? also, i know the injectors are different, but i heard somewhere that u can put sr injectors in a ka without any problems.

RWD S13 SR20DET 370CC INJECTORS WILL FIT INTO A KA24DE .. only .. NOT KA24E.

SR S14 FMIC MIGHT / WOULD WORK WITH KA TURBO WITH CUTTING AND WELDING, SO WHY NOT JUST BUY A CORE AND PIPES AND START WELDING THE BIIIATCH.

with some coaxing and maybe a different elbow to the turbo, you could probably use some of the SR20det intercooler plumbing with a SR20DET stock intercooler.

keep in mind a SMIC oem will fit perfectly in the 240 hehe, I don't know about how well it would connect to a ka24De throttle body but again I believe the ends are rubber elbows... you could just get some different ones and still use the piping setup for that chassis.

some of the aftermarket hotpipes and such people sell for the sr20det's would not work at all since its one metal tube. You could make a contraption of the stock intercooler pieces from a 180sx I think to work on a S13 DE 240sx.
