Wheel size question for a 240sx

I own a '92 240sx in dire need of a new set of wheels and tires. I saw a set of 5Zigen FN-01R 17x7 rims with a +42 offset and 4X114.3 PCD. My car has the 4-lug pattern but Im worried the rims may be too big or too wide. Will these fit my car? what size/type tires should i be looking for if these fit? Also I plan to upgrade the suspension in soon as well, will this affect my rim/tire choice as well? any help would be appreciated.

The specs work but check center bore too, your center bore is 66 mm.

As for tire size you can go:

205/45-17 24.2
215/45-17 24.6

If you're going to lower your suspension 215/45-17 might be better choice for ride if you want reduce some of the ride tightness you will get by going to stiffer springs.

Thanks for the help. If i was to go with the same rims except in a 16x7 size with 225/50/16 tires all around, would this work better? Im trying to build a street/track car so i want the best function possible.

In 16's the largest tire we've test fitted is 215/50-16 so fender lip rolling and/or other mods might be necessary to run 225/50-16. If you can get it to fit 225/50-16 would be a good set up. Depending on the tire you run and the type of track events you plan on doing a 7.5" wide rim might be a better choice.
