Tinting headlight glases

I read the FAQ regarding how to tint windows using standard window tinting decals.
Can you use the same method on headlights as well?
I am preparing to build my version of the Flying Lizards Porsche 911 RSR and I need to tint two lights yellow.

Re: Tinting headlight glases

Most headlights are made out of plastic instead of glass. The plastic lights tend to fade, turn yellow and crack through time. Have the option to remove the tint on the lights easily. If you wish to change your headlights appearance, simply peel the tin t off. Never use any harsh chemical to remove the tint.

Re: Tinting headlight glases

You might have trouble conforming the tint around the angles. You can always paint them with a clear yellow with a hint of smoke.
