1996 pontiac grand am gt
i have a 1996 Pontiac grand am gt. it started over heat and bog down. i put more dex-cool in it but its not cooling down. after doing so, i stopped, got out and checked underneath. it was pouring fast. i checked all hoes to and from the reservoir...all good. i was told it could be the lower intake manifold gasket...true/false...need help. thanx.

It was pouring fast from underneath? Have to be a little more exact than that.....intake manifolds don't leak that fast.....need to add coolant to a cold engine and rent a coolant pressure tester....should be easy to find...since not coming from the reservoir, could be a radiator hose, heater core hose, radiator, w/p, or coming out of the condensate drain due to a leaking heater core.... Which engine? |
