67 Bonneville Coolant Leak

The coolant leak is located at gasket of the water pump. The water pump is new and the gasket has been changed a few times in less than a year. Although, when I initially changed the paper gasket, there was only one. So I decided to do two to hopefully provide a good seal. Maybe I need to go back to using one gasket. I've installed new backing plates and its still leaking. Its not a bad leak but I'm tired of dealing with it. Any suggestions on type of leak seal or gasket? I'm wondering if the part connected to the block should be changed. I'll try to include a few pics.

Also, my temperature gauge is not connected. Where or what should the line be connected to?

Thanks.

Make sure the mating surfaces are true and parallel, use rtv also. You don't see a single wire sending unit?, look around the the thermostat, intake manifold, side of the block, usual places. looks like a brass fitting, pretty basic stuff.
